FlyHR 0.1.0: The First Release
The first public release of FlyHR on WordPress.org: employee records, departments, leave policies and approvals, all running inside your own WordPress site.
FlyHR is now on WordPress.org. This first release covers the core of day-to-day HR: who works here, how the company is organized, and how time off is requested, approved and counted.
Employees
- Keep every staff record in one place, with job history, private HR notes and a profile photo.
- Track changes over time, so you can see when someone’s status, type, pay or role changed.
- End employment with a termination step that keeps the record and its history intact.
- Organize the company with departments and a library of designations (job titles).
Leave
- Create the leave types your company uses, and set policies that decide who gets how many days.
- Give each employee their own entitlements, recorded in a ledger so every balance can be traced.
- Let staff request time off, and approve or reject requests, with email notifications along the way.
- Add public and company holidays, and see leave and holidays together on one calendar.
Setup and Roles
- Get started with a first-run setup wizard that walks you through the basics.
- Set your financial year and choose which days of the week are working days.
- Use two roles, HR Manager and Employee, with permission checks on each record.
Developers
- Build on a REST API under the
flyhr/v1namespace.
